Practicing at Rockstar Yoga is an out-of-this-world experience. Nestled in a jungle treehouse in the heart of Dominical, this immersive yoga teacher training invites you to deepen your practice, refine your teaching skills, and reconnect with your most authentic self.
Surrounded by lush rainforest-where toucans call overhead and iguanas wander nearby-you’ll learn in a supportive, joyful environment that encourages creativity, personal expression, and growth. Our experienced teachers hold a loving container, creating a bold and brave space where each student feels seen, supported, and inspired.
Just steps from the beach and rooted in a quaint, community-oriented surf town, Rockstar Yoga offers the perfect balance of focused study, nature immersion, and vibrant local life.
Intention In Practice
At Rockstar Yoga, intention is at the heart of everything we teach. This training goes beyond learning what to do and explores the why behind each posture, cue, sequence, and class arc.
Rather than teaching yoga by rote, we guide students to understand how and why practices are built-how a pose supports the body, how a cue lands in a student’s experience, and how thoughtful sequencing creates clarity, safety, and meaning. Intention gives practice direction, and direction gives teaching integrity.
Through inquiry, discussion, and embodied exploration, you’ll learn to make conscious choices in your teaching-choices rooted in anatomy, philosophy, experience, and care. This approach supports confident, adaptable teachers who can meet students where they are and teach from a place of authenticity.
When practice is intentional, it becomes more than movement. It becomes a conversation between breath, body, and awareness-and a foundation for teaching with presence, purpose, and joy.
Training Highlights

Stay and practice in the heart of Dominical!
Our unique jungle treehouse is located in Pueblo del Rio, a gorgeous complex nearby the entrance to Dominical, located along the Baru River. Natural wildlife and beauty live right at your fingerips. And available housing is located next door to the studio!
Within a few minutes, you can walk all of Dominical, filled with quaint restaurants and shops, and a real community vibe. Within a few days you may find that many of the locals already know your name!
Dominical is a very special town in the Southern Pacific Zone of Costa Rica, aka the last village :)
Sample Schedule (Monday-Friday)
- 08:00 – Morning class with a lead trainer
- 09:30-10:00 – Guided journaling and contemplation
- 10:00-12:15 – Asana labs and practice teaching
- 12:15-13:00 – Lunch
- 13:00-16:00 – Philosophy, study, and applied inquiry
- 16:00-18:00 – Integration, embodiment, practice, and community time
